Stratford East in London will be presenting a new production this spring. From the 18th April–16th May, Welcome to Iran will be on its stage.

The show is about Ava, a British Iranian in her twenties. After her father passes away, she travels to Iran to discover her past, heritage and culture.

She delves deep into Iranian society and learns so much about this much misunderstood country. She discovers everything from family politics to the traffic in Tehran.

The whole play is based on real-life testimonials and includes fictional characters. The show is written and directed by Nadia Fall (director of Dara), who spent three weeks in Iran recently meeting everyday Iranians.

Welcome to Iran offers a witty and intriguing insight into modern-day life in Iran which is not always seen.

Tickets (from just £10) are available from stratfordeast.com.
